課程概述

本課程希望學生能瞭解資訊組織的意義及其實際運作方法，特別是在圖書館場域。首先從資訊組織的角度探討目錄的目的，以及達到目的所需援用的規範及作法。學生需瞭解英美編目規則的主要著錄原則，以及學習使用美國國會圖書館分類法及杜威十進分類法。本課程介紹主題分析的重要性及各種控制及非控制字彙。線上目錄及其他資訊檢索系統的設計、網路及數位資源組織、新資訊科技對資訊組織的影響也是本課程討論的重點。 

課程目標
 1.使學生能夠瞭解圖書資訊的意義，並能實際應用英美編目及其他著錄規範
2.使學生能夠充分了解主題分析的意義，並能實際應用杜威十進分類法、美國國會分類法、標題表及其他控制或非控制字彙
3.使學生能夠了解合作編目的運作
4.使學生能夠了解線上目錄及其他資訊檢索系統的結構及其設計原則
5.使學生能夠了解電子資源的組織及檢索機制
6.使學生能夠了解異質資料庫的整合檢索機制
